After you have had a logo designed by us, you're going to receive many different file formats of your new logo. Be sure to save them to your computer. Understanding these file formats can be important, particularly when you begin to utilize your logo design in various forms of advertising services and printing.
File formats and your logo.
You will receive an EPS, PDF, JPG, and PNG file. These formats have a variety of uses, and knowing which one is which will save you hours of unnecessary grief and money when it comes to working with designers and printers, as well as creating your own 'do it yourself' advertising and internal documents. The EPS and PDF are vector based versions that are used for commercial print, magazine / newspaper ads, large format printing (billboards and signage). You can increase the size of these files without loss of resolution (quality of print). The JPG and PNG files are common file types for website development, so if you are creating a new website, your designer will want to use this type of file. And lastly the PNG file format is excellent for using in Microsoft Products, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher for the do-it-yourselfer.
